Nova Scotia & Maine Coast
DAYS 3-10: united states - biking along the coast of maine

During the days your group will bike from coves to inlets, lighthouses to fishing villages, sunny beaches to windswept ocean bluffs. You'll stop along the route to sit on a rock and watch for harbor seals cavorting in the bay.

Your group will stop during the morning to visit a lobster pound (maybe you'll see a blue lobster!) and eat delicious wild blueberry muffins. During the afternoons you and your group might leave your bikes at the harbormaster's shack and walk down the wharf to watch fishing boats unloading their catch. Other afternoons you might swim in warm inland lakes or hidden coves along the shore. At the campgrounds in the evenings your group might have a marshmallow roast on the beach, or take a walk up the shoreline to explore tidal pools and beachcomb for beautiful nautilus shells (or, if you prefer, for a collection of weird and disgusting bits of shriveled sealife with which to irritate your friends).
DAYS 11-25: bike over the border & along the coast of nova scotia photo
Your group will ferry over the border into Canada and cycle along the shoreline of Nova Scotia (which looks much different than the Maine coastline), stopping along the way to sample new and different Canadian candy bars and other treats and learning to say “Eh?”. You'll cycle in valleys and on ridges, past apple orchards , and along meandering rivers. Your group will camp on the shores of the Bay of Fundy, where you'll watch the highest tides in the world roll in over the sandbars, and on the shores of the ocean, where you can watch the sun rise over the sea in a blaze of color.
