Stowe is the starting point of your journey across New England. Here your group will kick off the adventure in high spirits with a tour of Ben and Jerry's ice cream factory (ok - you'll get to sample some, too!) before biking north through beautiful green farming valleys speckled with gentle black and white cows and all sorts of places to swim. You and your group will spend a night in French-speaking Montreal, where you'll do some exciting sightseeing and sample pastries in the Old City.

The cows disappear from the scenery as you enter the valleys of the White Mountain National Forest with its towering mountains and rushing wilderness streams tumbling over cascading waterfalls. You'll bike out of the national forest into Conway, New Hampshire, where you can shop in outlet stores and boutiques before heading into Maine.

Sparkling lakes and refreshing river pools to swim in will give way to the smell of salt water in the air as you near the ocean. Along the coast, you and your group can eat your way through a berry patch, or try blueberry cobbler and fresh corn on the cob for dinner. You can collect sea shells and sea glass, watch for seals playing in coves, and time how fast the tide comes in and covers the rock you're sitting on. Your group will ferry to Portland, watching the colorful sailing ships and the seagulls, and seeing how hard it is to scrape barnacles off a piling. And of course you'll have time to shop at L.L. Bean.
